Dancing America Rapper Tournament: October 28 - 30, 2011
DART seeks to bring together sword teams from the U.S., Canada, England, and as far afield as possible to celebrate the talent, innovation, and new ideas of rapper sword dancing and honor its deeply rooted traditions. The weekend aims to be a friendly gathering of sword teams with the added bonus of the rapper competition. The competition is open to all rapper sword teams - regardless of age or experience.
Update (Nov 1, 2011): Congratulations to all the teams - your talent, innovation, new ideas, and traditional roots were all in evidence! Thank you to our sponsors, the pubs, and all the volunteers who worked to make the weekend a success. Some pictures from competition dances at the Asgard and videos of the show dances are up: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjwMipWw and http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEBEE2FAED1C8D6DD. More listed here. Let us know if you have pictures or video you'd like to share. See you in Baltimore next year!
